The coastal route of the west coast of the Iberian Peninsula of Camino de Santiago - Portuguese Way - is a World Heritage Site and passes through Guilheta. According to medieval tradition, the pilgrims who went to venerate the relics of the apostle Santiago Maior received partial or total remission of the temporal penalty resulting from sins forgiven through confession (indulgence), and could even avoid Purgatory. For many centuries considered to be the westernmost place in the known world and, as such, the End of the World, the Road to Santiago has been popularly associated for centuries with the Milky Way, because it supposedly indicates the way to Santiago de Compostela at night. Since the 1980s the popularity of overcoming the 'Camino' has grown substantially, becoming not only a spiritual but also a cultural itinerary of the first order, being travelled by hundreds of thousands of people all year round, either on foot, by bicycle, on horseback or even by donkey.
Accessibility and garages
The ground floor can accommodate up to two people with reduced mobility or even wheelchair users, as the entire area is accessible via ramps with a slope of less than 60 cm. The property also has two spacious private garages that allow wheelchair users to easily get in and out of their car.
