House in Feriendorf Lissendorf with Ample Garden and Panoramic View

Arrive, relax and enjoy a sense of well-being in this holiday house in Lissendorf (Volcanic Eifel holiday area, Oberes Kylltal). The recreational area has a charming landscape and is absolutely quiet. Owing to the prominent location of the house at 550 metres on the very quiet outskirts, away from main traffic arteries, a fascinating panorama opens up in front of you: over Lissendorf to the volcanic domes of the Eifel. The neighbourhood is characterised by houses of a high standard, some of which are permanently occupied. All the properties are privately owned, it is not a holiday village. The locality a 20-minute walk away is near the townsvHillesheim, Jünkerath, Stadtkyll, Gerolstein and Daun.

The brick-built house of 91m² ideally welcomes up to six holiday guests. There are three bedrooms. The fit is furnished with a single bed (90 x 200cm), the second has a raised single bed (90 x 200cm) and a double bed below (140 x 200cm), the third is a typical double bedroom with a double bed (180 x 200cm) and has an adjoining private WC. The house is on three floors. The ground floor has a hallway with a cloakroom niche, a shower room with a WC and washbasin, as well as a large living room with comfortable seating and a fireplace stove. You go down four steps to the open cooking and dining space with everything you need for comprehensive self-catering. There is an adjoining little hallway with access to the double bedroom with a guest toilet. Back on the ground floor, stairs with nine steps lead to the upper floor, where you can find an open TV room under the cosy sloping ceilings, which as a gallery looks down on the living room below. It has a flatscreen TV with satellite channels and a DVD player. There is an adjoining chalet-style bedroom, the one for three people. There is plenty of space to retreat. Please note that for occupancy with up to four people, the single room is not accessible. The kitchen is equipped with a stove with a four-zone ceramic hob with an extractor fan and convection oven and grill, a new (2015) Miele dishwasher, a fridge with a four-star freezer compartment, a filter coffee machine, microwave, kettle, two toasters, a mixer, waffle maker, citrus press and a Bluetooth kitchen radio. You can sit together at the extendable dining table for meals. The central heating was renewed in 2015 and there are radiators in every room. All the windows and external doors are fitted with high-quality insect screens. A new washing machine-dryer and two vacuum cleaners are available. Bath and kitchen towels, as well as bed linen are provided free of charge.

The living room flooded with daylight opens onto the generous roofed south-facing terrace, which provides pleasant shade at midday at the height of summer, whilst you can enjoy the sunshine in the mornings and evenings undisturbed. This terrace and the terrace in the sunny garden provide ample garden furniture with cushions and parasols. While children are playing on the 650m² natural site and exploring nature, maybe picking the many delicious wild strawberries, you can relax on the lounger I the shade of a tall oak tree. On clear nights you can discover a fabulous starry sky, as can no longer be found above cities with light pollution.

A free package with a first set of many useful items is provided (cleaning products, toiletries, household items, condiments). There is a sofa bed in the living room if you have visitors, or two further beds on the gallery. Note that, owing to being on a slope, the site can only be accessed via two steps from the large shared parking area. The house is non-smoking and pets are not allowed. We do not accommodate groups of partying youths. When you book this accommodation, please fill in the names and ages of all travelers.

Lissendorf in the Daun region is a recognised tourist village with around 1100 inhabitants and a train connection. The village about 1.6km away has a good choice of gastronomy and tourist amenities, such as a pharmacy, doctor, banks, a church, bakery, butcher, grocery shop, stationary shop with a post office, a flower and gift shop, a hairdresser etc. Owing to the proximity to the ‘endless’ forested area, you can set off straight from the house on extensive walks, mountain bike tours, or cross-country skiing tours in winter when there is snow. Recreational amenities such as cycle paths, a Nordic walking trail, tennis courts, a sports ground, a playground and a bowling alley are available. Horse lovers can visit the local Eifel riding centre. The historical water mill with gastronomy by the Kyll (3km) is only separated from Lissendorf by the village Birgel. Within 10 to 30 kilometres you can find swimming pools, a golf course, a lake with water sports, animal parks and the famous Nürburgring. You can also go on day trips to the many places of interest in the Eifel, owing to the central location. It is recommended to go on excursions to Belgium, Luxembourg or the Moselle, sightseeing in Cologne, Trier, Aachen, Monschau, Bonn, Koblenz (about 1 to 1.5 hours away by car).
